Petra has built a career helping large organizations envision and create better futures. After growing up in rural Maine with a deep appreciation of the natural environment, Petra sees climate change as a once in a lifetime opportunity to reinvent the way we do business. Ranging across the spectrum of sustainability, Petra’s work includes leveraging electrification to evolve mobility, accelerating the adoption of responsible products and services, and creating differentiators through leadership on environmental issues.

Before Hatcher, Petra led creative development at a boutique prototyping firm. Spanning from sustainable design to space operations, renewable technologies, educational experiences, data visualization, consumer behavior change, and mobile laboratories, Petra has worked in multidisciplinary teams with a wide range of Fortune 500 companies, large government organizations, and six branches of the US military.

Petra graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University with a degree in History & Science and a secondary concentration in Global Health - but her real focus has always been on the future. In her own work, she has investigated the environmental and healthcare applications of 3D printing, tested concepts for recyclable photovoltaic cells, and won competitions for product and experience design. Petra is also a pilot who is passionate about building an electric future for aviation. In her free time she flies shelter pets off death row and into new homes through her nonprofit, Amelia Air.

Peter has 25+ years of management consulting and strategic innovation experience, serving a variety of Fortune 500 companies and global institutions. Peter now works exclusively at the intersection of sustainable innovation, emerging tech and social impact entrepreneurship. Peter thrives when working with a blank canvas and building multidisciplinary teams to create something from nothing. 

Peter has led numerous multi-year next generation innovation programs for Fortune 500 corporations, including Disney, Intel, P&G - Gillette, Airbus, Unilever, Toyota, GE, UPS, HP, DoCoMo, Sony and Kao. This work has involved the creation and deployment of innovative tools/methods (strategy, research, tech, prototyping), maturing of innovation structures (design centers, labs), and developing high-caliber teams in the following domains: sustainability, behavior change, business model innovation, organizational design, strategic sourcing, electrification, and product development.

Originally from the UK, Peter’s career has spanned numerous global markets in Europe, US, Canada, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Now based in Silicon Valley, Peter continues to invest, start and scale new ventures including Hatcher (sustainable-led innovation) and MadeIn (SMB platform for emerging markets).
